Cincinnati’s New Community-Police Problem Solving Strategy

Metropolitan Area Religious Coalition of Cincinnati (MARCC) forum, Wednesday, March 9 at noon, St. Peter in Chains Cathedral, 8th and Plum Street, Cincinnati

MARCH DC Flyer(1)Captain Maris Herold, Special Project Commander, will describe the CPD’s Place-based Investigations of Violent Offender Territories (PIVOT) Strategy. PIVOT is an integrated approach designed to disrupt criminal activity in persistent violent locations.

Herold led the first application of PIVOT in Avondale by working with community residents and businesses. PIVOT’s sustainability component relies heavily on the participation of various City departments, residents and business organizations. CPD will be organizing community efforts with this strategy to prevent the recurrence of violent crime networks and destabilize criminal opportunity structures.

Delegates and guests will have an opportunity to be informed and ask questions. Please join us, all are welcome. Please remember to:

• Bring your lunch to Delegates Council, coffee and tea will be available
• Park on the street or in the Parking Garage across Plum Street from the Cathedral. (Meters are 120 minute limit)
