Learn about the rigorous vetting that refugees go through to be accepted for resettlement in the United States and how Greater Cincinnati people can help them to land on their feet in a new, and hopefully safer land at the MARCC Delegate Council, Wednesday, May 11 at 12 noon. The speaker is Megan Zarnitz, director of Refugee Resettlement for Catholic Charities of Southwest Ohio. MARCC (Metropolitan Area Religious Coalition of Cincinnati) is partnering with Catholic Charities to inform the wider community about refugees’ plight and ways to help.
St. Peter in Chains is at 325 W. 8th Street, across the street from Cincinnati City Hall. The meeting is in the undercroft, last door on the northwest side of the Cathedral. There is ample metered parking on the surrounding streets. Bring your own lunch: coffee and tea provided. For more information: www.marcconline.com or 513.721.4843.
