During its June 8-10 meeting in Chaska, Minnesota, the Episcopal Church’s Executive Council adopted multiple resolutions. A summary of resolutions can be found here.

Two of the resolutions adopted have been referred to all diocesan bishops. AN 013 confirms a long-standing policy of the Episcopal Church to support fair, just and living wages for all hourly employees. AN 015 welcomes the release by the Federal Consumer Protection Agency (CFPB) of proposed rules and regulations intended to better protect consumers and govern the payday loan industry. AN 015 also encourages dioceses, parishes, agencies and members of the church to participate in an open comment period sponsored by the CFPB to express our faith and justice concerns regarding payday lending.
