Healthy Congregations’ Leadership Series August 23, 2016 Congregations, e-Connections, Resources As a result of participation in the Healthy Congregations’ Leadership Series, one Lutheran pastor said “I became a less anxious, more self-aware, and better leader of my congregation. As a result the congregation became healthier.” His statement is only one of a number of testimonies that Healthy Congregations, Inc. is fulfilling its purpose of “Growing thoughtful leaders for a stronger church.” Healthy Congregations invites you to join us for the Leadership Series online or in person at Trinity Lutheran Seminary in Columbus. The series is offered one Friday monthly from September through May except for December. The morning session, led by one of three faculty, is a presentation of some part of Bowen Family Systems Thinking or its application for clergy and lay leaders developed by Rabbi Dr. Edwin Friedman. For onsite attendees the afternoon session is a small group of four to six which engages in family-of-origin work and case studies. Online participants do the same work with one of the faculty through four one hour phone or online coaching sessions over the course of the year. The first session in this year’s Leadership Series is September 23. For meeting dates, cost, faculty and other information go to https://www.healthycongregations.com/events-home2/leadership/leadership-series/ You can also contact the Rev.
