Are you looking for a unique and tasty Christmas present for your family and friends? How about a half or whole hog from the Procter Farm. A half hog ranges in price from $300 – $350 based on weight. The pigs were 100% pasture raised, never confined. They were fed Certified Non-GMO grain, discarded farm vegetables and vegetable scraps from the kitchen (not table scraps). No nitrates were added in processing except those occurring naturally in celery juice. The meat is vacuum sealed and in manageable boxes.

Or, get your veggies lined up now for this summer and purchase a whole or half CSA share – this would also make a lovely gift! Enjoy a Early Bird discount by December 31 for a CSA (Community Supported Agricultural) Share. So much loving care goes into the farm here at Procter that you can taste it!  A half share is $300 (feeds 1 – 2) and a full share is $450 (feeds 3- 4). You will have fresh veggies for 20 weeks beginning in June.

Please call Robin at 740.206.2036 or email rkimbler@proctercenter.org if you are interested in either of these great gift ideas…or treat yourself!

Here are just a few comments from our CSA customers –

“It was an experience that I’ve been interested in. The veggies were lovely.”

“One of the things I liked about the CSA was it forced me to try some things I hadn’t had before. I’m a pretty decent cook, but I had never cooked beet greens (love them) or kale or some of the cabbages. It was a good opportunity.”

“I’ve enjoyed meeting the people who bring the vegetables each week – friendly, reliable, seem very committed to the program.”
