MLK Violence Prevention Teen Day Celebration

St. Margaret’s, Dayton, and the Public Health Department of Dayton and Montgomery County invite both parents and teens to attend the MLK Violence Prevention Teen Day Celebration on Monday, January 16 at 11:15 a.m. the event will be held at Neon Movies, 130 E. Fifth St. in Dayton.

The program will feature the movie “Race,” which is based on the incredible true story of Jesse Owens, the legendary athletic superstar whose quest to become the greatest track and field athlete in history thrusts  him onto the world stage of the 1936 Olympics, where he faces off against Adolf Hitler’s vision of Aryan supremacy.

The program builds upon the beliefs of Dr. King and his use of non-violence and the struggle for equality of all races.
