Christ Church Cathedral will offer a “Sole Clinic” on Maundy Thursday, April 13, in the undercroft from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. During this ministry day, we will offer foot washing, nail clipping and massage therapy to our neighbors who make their home out on the streets. In addition, we will provide them with lunch, new clean socks and for those who have pre-registered, a new pair of shoes. Last year the cathedral hosted about 60 folks, and anticipate serving as many this year.

We need YOUR help in TWO ways:

Please donate packages of new athletic socks for adults (not used), and place them in the basket outside the sanctuary. We will collect socks through Sunday, April 9.

We also need VOLUNTEERS!! If you have an hour to help, or can stay the whole time, here are some ways YOU can participate:

Set Up and Clean Up Crew
Greeters who welcome guests and direct them to the undercroft
Sign in folks who will meet guests and give their registration forms to the Shoe Distribution group
Shoe Distribution group will pick up proper size shoes for each guest and work with guest for fit
Foot Washing Team that washes and massages our guests’ feet and foot wash support team that supplies fresh towels and pans of water to Foot Wash team members
Lunch Crew that distributes box lunches to our guests

Thanks for helping us provide this Holy Week ministry service to our neighbors. We hope you can join us and donate socks!
