Energility, LLC receives grant to help non-profit organizations and small businesses of Ohio

Energility, LLC, an energy management firm for non-profit organizations and small businesses around Ohio, has received a grant through the State of Ohio’s Development Services Agency (ODSA) to perform energy audits. They are one of five companies who will receive funding for the next six months for energy audits of any commercial business over 10,000 square feet, on a first-come-first serve basis.

Energy audits identify short-term and long-term actions to take to manage energy. The result will help churches, non-profit organizations, and small businesses lower their cost of operations so that they will be able to:

  • reduce the cost to serve their mission
  • expand the reach of their programs
  • have an opportunity to use local contractors to do projects
  • improve their progress on sustainability initiatives
  • contribute to fight global climate change
  • provide an action plan to focus an organization’s or business’s financial resources

There are so many benefits to building an Energy Plan!

Energility, LLC, has focused efforts within the faith community as the technical consultant for Ohio Interfaith Power & Light. Together they have conducted 58 ASHRAE Level 1 and Level 2 energy audits, including 10 buildings in the Diocese of Southern Ohio.

In total, Energility, LLC, has reviewed 2.1 million square feet of commercial and industrial building space and analyzed $2.5 million in energy costs to complete 55 detailed energy audits (ASHRAE Level 2 equivalent). As a result, their clients have taken action on $1.1 million in energy conservation and efficiency projects, with 36% of capital funded through the use of rebates, grants and low cost financing.
