Honoring ministry to Latino community May 9, 2017 e-Connections, Events You are invited to the Latino Ministry Center of the Diocese of Southern Ohio on Thursday, May 25 at 6 p.m. for the Feast of the Ascension and to celebrate the nine wonderful years of ministry of Carlos and Glenda de Jesús within the Latino community of our diocese. Carlos and Glenda have worked hard to create a ministry serving the Latino population of the northern suburbs of Cincinnati, and what began as a ministry helping one family has grown into a Homework Club serving over 60 children annually, an English class for adults serving over 25 adult learners, a community garden, and much, much more. We hope you will join us in celebrating their ministry, and to learn a little bit more about the Latino Ministry of the Diocese of Southern Ohio. We will celebrate with a bilingual Eucharist at 6 p.m., the Rt. Rev. Tom Breidenthal presiding. A meal and program to honor Carlos and Glenda’s ministry will follow the service. Children are invited to attend. The Latino Ministry Center is located at 11381 Hanover Road in Forest Park. Learn more about the LMC at their website: diosohio.org/ministerio/ Please RSVP to Rev. Maggie Foote at RevMaggieLMC@gmail.com if you plan to attend.
