Speaker Hana Bendcowsky will explore the challenges that Jews and Christians face in creating a shared Israeli society – the first time in history that Christians have lived as a minority community in a Jewish country – at the Mayerson Jewish Community Center on Tuesday, June 13, from 7 to 9 p.m.
Program Director of the Jerusalem Center for Jewish-Christian Relations, Bendcowsky creates opportunities for Arab Christians and Jews to meet and work together. She holds a master’s degree in comparative religion from Hebrew University and has worked in interfaith relations for two decades.
A Cross and a Star in the Holy Land: Jews and Christians in Israel will be at the Mayerson Jewish Community Center in Cincinnati, part of the 2017 “Coexistence” Israeli speaker series sponsored by the Jewish Federation in collaboration with the Jewish Community Relations Council of Cincinnati and the Mayerson Jewish Community Center.
