The Gloria Turnage “Books Unplugged” Back to School Book Fair will be held at the Evanston Community Recreation Center on Saturday August 19 from 12 to 3 p.m. The fair is sponsored by the St. Andrew’s, Evanston, ECW (Episcopal Church Women) outreach ministry.
This will be the second book fair this year. This fair will focus on back to school preparation and supplying students with books of interest to prepare them for reading enrichment. St. Andrew’s and the Evanston community have a made a commitment to continue to provide opportunities that will help Evanston to grow and prosper.
This fair has been dedicated to Gloria Turnage, a member of St. Andrew’s who began a partnership with St. Andrew’s, Calvary Methodist Church, and the Evanston Community Recreation Center. This “Back to School Fair” will connect Evanston children with school supplies and the tools to successfully begin the school year.
St. Andrew’s has partnered and co-sponsored with Xavier University, the Bellarmine Chapel, the Evanston Community Council, the Evanston Community Recreation Center, and the Trendsetters Salon to make this a successful initiative.
