The 143rd annual convention of the Diocese of Southern Ohio will be held at the Hyatt Regency Cincinnati Nov. 10-11, 2017. The Hyatt is located at 151 W 5th Street in downtown Cincinnati.

PRE-CONVENTION HEARINGS

If you were unable to attend a pre-convention hearing at one of the scheduled dates or locations, the hearing that took place Oct. 25 at St. Barnabas, Montgomery, will be live-streamed and available for viewing on the convention website (dsoconvention.org) or on the DSOconnect app. Voting delegates who were not able to attend a hearing are strongly encouraged to view this hearing to hear discussions about resolutions and other matters for consideration.

REGISTRATION

There is no cost to attend convention, but pre-registration is required for anyone planning to attend. Online registration remains open until midnight on Tuesday, Oct. 31. No online registration is available after the Oct. 31 deadline. Anyone not pre-registered may register at the door for an additional $25 fee, but no meal availability is guaranteed.

CHECK-IN

Check-in and onsite registration will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 9 and reopen at 7:30 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 10. At check-in, you will receive your name badge and tokens for any meal you have reserved. To help streamline this process, please check with your church before arrival to make sure that registration and/or payment have been made on your behalf. For those who still need to register and/or pay, you will be directed to another area. Checks and credit card payments will be accepted.

CREDENTIALS

After checking in, all voting clergy and certified lay delegates must sign in for their voting credentials. Visitors and guests do not need to sign in. The credentialing area will be located next to the check-in area.

MEALS

The cost for the meal package for convention is $60. This includes buffet lunches on Friday and Saturday. No meal availability is guaranteed for anyone not pre-registered for a meal package.

COFFEE SERVICE

Coffee service will be available throughout the day on Friday and Saturday at no charge to attendees, thanks to a generous gift from Christ Church Cathedral.

SEATING

There will be no assigned seating at convention. You may sit together as a delegation, or spread out and connect with other delegates. You will be moving around on Friday to breakout sessions, so be prepared to clear your table and bring all your belongings with you.

All resources needed for convention are available on the convention website or through the DSOconnetion app. No paper copies will be provided. If you do not have Internet access, please ask a member of your delegation to print materials for you.
