The Most Rev. Katharine Jefferts Schori, former Presiding Bishop and Primate of the Episcopal Church, will speak on Public Faith: By Word and Example in the World at Trinity Episcopal Church, Covington, on Saturday, November 4 at 6 p.m. Dinner and dessert by the bite will follow her address. The event is open to the public. Tickets are $20 on

The Bishop’s visit to Trinity Church will continue the following morning when she will preach and celebrate the Eucharist at Trinity’s 10 a.m. service. After the service, she will lead an informal question-and-answer session, focusing on her experiences as Presiding Bishop of the Episcopal Church.

Trinity’s rector, the Rev. Peter D’Angio, extended the invitation to the Bishop over a year ago. Her acceptance delighted church members and immediately sparked plans to host a memorable event that would be open to the public.

Bishop Katharine, as she prefers to be called, was the first woman to be elected as a primate in the worldwide Anglican Communion, of which the Episcopal Church of the United States is a member. She served as presiding bishop from 2006 to 2015.

Bishop Katharine’s visit is the exciting finale to Trinity Church’s year-long celebration of their 175th anniversary as a congregation in Covington.
