[December 18, 2019] The Rt. Rev. Thomas E. Breidenthal, Bishop of Southern Ohio, has announced plans to take sabbatical time beginning in January 2019. The full text of the announcement follows:
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,
Twelve years ago you elected me as your bishop, for which I continually thank God. I am now due for a second sabbatical, which Margaret and I will be spending in New York City, roughly between Epiphany and Palm Sunday. I will be devoting my time to writing (some academic, some poetry), and hope to be able to share some of the fruits of my work with you when we get back.
While I am away, as matters arise, please be in contact with the Rev. Canon Lynn Carter-Edmands, our Canon to the Ordinary, or with my executive assistant, Ann Sabo. Please know you are in my prayers as we approach the celebration of the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
