The National Weather Service has confirmed that 21 tornadoes struck west central Ohio on May 27-28. The hardest hit neighborhoods were in the Dayton area; Trotwood and parts of Montgomery County were struck by an EF4 tornado, while Beavercreek, Celina and parts of Greene and Mercer Counties suffered damage from two EF3 tornadoes.
St. Margaret’s, Trotwood, has been actively engaged in relief response, serving as the epicenter of Trotwood tornado recovery operations. This small congregation has distributed thousands of meals, bottles of water, articles of clothing and other supplies to the victims. They could use our help! In addition to financial assistance (click here to donate), they are looking for donations of non-perishable food, hand sanitizer, round face masks, wipes, industrial gloves, trash bags, cleaning supplies, diapers and feminine hygiene products. (They have plenty of bottled water and clothing are are no longer accepting donations of these items at this time.) Donations can be dropped off at the church at 5301 Free Pike in Trotwood.
