Many people may not realize the importance of an accurate census count in ensuring that states and local communities receive their fair share of federal dollars for vital needs like health care, affordable housing, and transportation. The Trump Administration announced that they will end the 2020 count on Sept. 30 (although this may change as a result of a federal lawsuit).
As a team of Greater Cincinnati Episcopalians in the diocesan Becoming Beloved Community network, we have created a PSA in English and Spanish that you can share through parish and community nonprofits’ social media. We’ve also written a Frequently Asked Questions sheet in both English and Spanish that you can post as well, or print in black and white to add to pantry food baskets or other distributions. The FAQ flyer is two pages, one for each language. Print either or both, depending on your audience. These can also be handed out this month at voter registration tables.
We hope you enjoy getting this important word out to your community!
