A Census undercount would slash local communities’ funding over next decade. Please work with service providers in your community to get this message out this week:

Census count due to end Sept. 30. Every person missed means thousands lost in federal funding: It’s easy and fast to complete your household’s census count at http://my2020census.gov/.  Failing to do it will cost your community thousands of dollars over the next decade for transportation, school meals, health care, scholarships are more. The 2020 Count is due to end Sept. 30 (though pending suits may extend it). Don’t miss the deadline! Hamilton County Commissioner Denise Driehouse (https://www.wvxu.org/post/census-deadline-looms-maybe) says that the area will lose $1,800 a year for every person who isn’t counted. As of Sept. 21, the estimated undercount for Hamilton County was 64,000 people, which would add up to more than $1.5 billion in federal funding lost over the coming decade.
