New Camino: A new vision for Latino/Hispanic Ministries
February 21, 2020 - February 22, 2020
New Camino is a two-day, Latino ministry seminar specially designed for dioceses, including bishops, staff, and congregations wishing to explore or strengthen new or existing Latino/Hispanic ministries. It is based on the eight-day Episcopal Latino Ministry Competency course that is held in select seminaries across the country and attended by seminarians, clergy and lay leaders.
This two-day seminar will present participants with an awareness of the changing reality of Latino ministry and dispel stereotypical thinking of the Latino populations. This training not only includes the current focus on immigrant and first-generation Latin@s, but also sheds light on the evangelization outreach required to appeal to the larger population of multi-generational, bilingual and English-speaking Latin@s who represent the long-term future of Latino ministry.
More information and registration will be available in November.
